* WHAT...High risk of rip currents expected.

* WHERE...Lorain and Cuyahoga Counties.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Wind and wave action will cause currents on the
lakeshore. Swimmers should not enter the water. Currents can
carry swimmers away from shore through a sand bar and along
structures extending out into the lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain out of the water to avoid hazardous swimming conditions.

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of north central and northeast Ohio, including
the following counties, in north central Ohio, Ashland, Lorain and
Richland. In northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Mahoning,
Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull and Wayne.

* WHEN...From 11 AM EDT this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Scattered showers and thunderstorms with periods of
torrential rain rates are expected to develop this afternoon
and evening. Rain rates of greater than 2 inches per hour are
possible with thunderstorms, which can quickly result in
flooding in prone areas.
